Romelu Lukaku made a brief but very confident prediction for the career outcome of Chelsea-linked striker Alexander Isak.

During a Twitter Q&A session yesterday, Lukaku was asked to give his thoughts on the young Real Sociedad attacker.

Isak has caught the eye for Sweden during their European Championship campaign, particularly in the 0-0 draw with Spain on matchday one.

His performance that night prompted a flurry of Premier League clubs to stand up and notice.

One of those apparently being Chelsea who, according to Notices de Gipuzkoa, are now fans of the 21-year-old.

Before hitting up the Euros, Isak scored 17 times for Sociedad and was named La Liga’s Young Player of the Season.

The Spanish club may have to fend off plenty of interest this summer but will demand at least the €70m (£59.9m) fee in his release clause.

A man who knows all about scoring and is lighting up the international stage as well is Lukaku.

In response to a question about Isak, the Belgian delivered a very positive verdict.

Chelsea fans may want to take notice of Lukaku’s prophecy, particularly as it is coming from player they have been linked with recently. Not to mention a man who used to walk the Stamford Bridge turf.

With Sweden safely into the knockout rounds, Isak has another chance to impress.

Meanwhile, Lukaku and Belgium are looking to do right by their gradually fading ‘golden era’ of superstars and win the tournament.
