Chelsea already looking at another young striker before Dastan Satpaev even plays for the club

The striker position at Chelsea is one that is causing much debate amongst the fan base following the first 12 games of the Premier League season.

Summer signing Liam Delap is yet to score in the competition, however did miss a large portion of the campaign due to injury.

Some Chelsea fans have called for the return of Nicolas Jackson after seeing Delap against Burnley, where neither he or Joao Pedro found the net.

As is the case with most positions on the pitch, the Blues have a number of young players ready to join the club and make their mark, including Dastan Satpaev and Emanuel Emegha.

Chelsea linked to young striker Joao Bezerra

However, this has not put an end to their interest in new players, with them now being linked to Joao Bezerra from Brazil.

Journalist Nicolo Schira has stated that the Blues are considering a move to sign the youngster at the end of the season.

He said: “Chelsea are monitoring International’s young forward João Bezerra (born in 2009) for a possible transfer in the summer window, when he will turn 17.”

Chelsea already know that Nicolas Jackson does not want a return to Stamford Bridge, however they look to be heading in a more youthful direction when it comes to any potential signings.

Who is Joao Bezerra?

Bezerra is a 16-year-old striker who has certainly proven in the early days of his career that he knows where the goal is.

He has 15 goals in 24 games in the 2025 season for Internacional’s Under 17s as he prepares to make the step up to senior football.

Chelsea will already be well aware of the talents available in Brazil after beating a number of their elite rivals to Santos and Estevao.

With Chelsea looking at buying into Santos the club, there could be a long line of Brazilian talents waiting to make their way to Stamford Bridge in the future.
