Chelsea are preparing to make an opening bid for Lyon attacker Rayan Cherki.
That is according to a report from ESPN.
They claim that the Blues will be seeking to replace Christian Pulisic, who’s on the verge of leaving Stamford Bridge to join AC Milan.
Sport Mediaset claims that 24-year-old Blues winger Pulisic will undergo a medical on Wednesday before joining Milan.

ESPN claims that Chelsea are getting ready to launch their first offer for Lyon’s Rayan Cherki.
It is understood that the teenage playmaker is valued at around €40million (£34million) by his Ligue 1 club.
The report explains that the Blues already have a good relationship with Lyon, so could they manage to strike a deal for the 19-year-old this summer?
Apparently, Chelsea have monitored Cherki for some time, including watching his France performances at the recent UEFA Under-21 European Championship.

Described as “very talented” by Lyon manager Laurent Blanc (Get Football News), Cherki is the kind of transfer target that we do find extremely exciting.
The Blues should really be prioritising the centre of the park in this summer window, but they want to find a replacement for exit-bound wide man Pulisic as well.
In our view, Cherki could light up Stamford Bridge with his skill and potential. His £34million price tag sounds tempting, too.
He’s a technician that is a great dribbler in the final third and he could terrify defenders. There’s also his unique talent of taking set-pieces with either foot.
Let’s wait and see what kind of opening bid Chelsea make for the rising talent.
