Chelsea are now leading the race to sign Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus after offering three players in a bid to sign him.

That is according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

So, what is the latest on Dusan Vlahovic and Chelsea? Let’s take a look…

What’s the story?

Well, we had already covered an earlier story from Gazzetta dello Sport which claimed that Chelsea held a meeting with Giovanni Manna – Director of Football at Juventus – about Vlahovic over the weekend.

Now, the Italian news outlet have provided details about what happened in that meeting.

Gazzetta dello Sport believe Chelsea offered Juventus three players and an unspecified amount of cash for the Serbia international.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Trevor Chalobah and Christian Pulisic were included in negotiations by Chelsea, with Juventus interested in taking all three.

It is specifically said that Juventus believe the trio solve problem positions for them in defence, midfield and attack.

As a result, Juventus are seriously considering the offer, and Chelsea are described as the current favourites to sign Vlahovic thanks to their tempting bid.

How much Vlahovic will cost Chelsea

Despite the inclusion of Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek and Chalobah, Juventus still want Chelsea to take the total cost of the deal up to €80m (£68m) – the same amount they spent on Vlahovic when signing him from Fiorentina in January 2022.

The 23-year-old has done well in Turin, but has ultimately failed to live up to his huge price tag with 23 goals in 63 appearances.

Therefore, Juventus are open to selling if they can make their money back.

Gazzetta dello Sport did not specify how much Pulisic, Chalobah and Loftus-Cheek make up in terms of a combined sum of money, but as long as Chelsea offer an amount which takes the total up to £68m, the Blues should get their hands on Vlahovic.
