Chelsea are now about to make a bid for Dusan Vlahovic as Mauricio Pochettino targets the Juventus No.9 this summer.
That is according to Gazzetta dello Sport – via Sport Witness.

What’s the story?
Well, there seems to be some conflicting reports emerging from Italy.
It was recently detailed by another Italian news outlet in Corriere della Sera that Chelsea had already made a bid for Vlahovic.
Now – if you were to believe Gazzetta dello Sport – that is not the case, although an offer is supposedly about to be submitted.
The latest update on Vlahovic claims that Chelsea are ready to make a €65m (£56m) bid for the Serbia international, who is also wanted by Manchester United and Tottenham.
Juventus are said to be open to selling the 23-year-old this summer, but would want €80m (£68m) to let him go.
Vlahovic scored ten goals in 27 Serie A appearances last season as Juventus finished seventh in Italy’s top-flight.
What Dusan Vlahovic could bring to Chelsea
While some may scoff at that aforementioned goal record and feel £68m is too much for Vlahovic, Chelsea would be getting themselves a striker who seems tailor made for the Premier League.
The Serbian is a highly physical presence who boasts clever movement and confident finishing ability,
Pantaleo Corvino – Director of Football at Lecce – has even described Vlahovic as a “complete” striker.
Football Italia quote the 73-year-old as saying: “His talent speaks for itself. He’s a complete centre forward, he has physique, a sense for goal, good technique, progression and aerial skills.”
Of course, the 2022/23 campaign was a difficult one for Vlahovic, and many Chelsea fans will be wary of spending a huge fee on him as a result.
However, the Blues would be getting themselves a potentially world class striker if Todd Boehly can strike a deal with Juventus – be sure to keep an eye out for more developments.
