Chelsea are interested in RB Leipzig’s Dominik Szobozlai as a potential transfer target this summer.
That is according to well-respected journalist Simon Phillips.
Phillips has explained on his Substack that Chelsea are likely to try sign a replacement if they sell both Kai Havertz and Mason Mount, something which is becoming more and more likely in this transfer window.
He explains that the Blues have several candidates ‘high on the shortlist’ when it comes to attacking midfielders.
RB Leipzig’s Dominik Szobozlai, 22, is shortlisted. Mauricio Pochettino’s side are looking at Ajax’s Mohammed Kudus and Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz, too.

Szoboszlai, who’s an exciting attacking midfielder, can be a great threat in central or wide positions.
The Hungary international scored 10 goals and made 13 assists last season Leipzig colours, where he starred alongside Chelsea’s incoming arrival Christopher Nkunku.
They both scored as Leipzig beat Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0 to win the German DFB Cup final earlier this month.
But will the pair be reunited together at Stamford Bridge next season?

Szobozlai, who’s got a €70million (£60million) release clause, definitely has all the talent to be a big success in the Premier League.
Described as “special” by Jesse Marsch, Szobozlai is a big goal threat that would improve Chelsea’s options going forward.
However, the Blues should really be prioritising a traditional striker and a defensive midfielder right now.
