Chelsea may yet allow Armando Broja to leave the club on loan during this summer transfer window.

That is according to well-respected journalist Simon Phillips.

Phillips has reported on his Substack today that he’s heard Chelsea may allow Armando Broja, 21, to exit Stamford Bridge on loan.

He adds that there’s even been a suggestion he could be sold if a good permanent offer arrives.

Broja, who’s working his way back from a long-term injury, was spotted alongside the Chelsea group during the opening couple of weeks during this summer’s pre-season.

However, the 21-year-old striker missed the pre-season trip to the United States to continue his rehabilitation at Cobham.

His teammates have impressed during four friendly matches in the US, which finishes in the early hours of Thursday morning against Borussia Dortmund.

So, what does the future hold for Broja at Chelsea?

Described as “terrific” by Danny Murphy on talkSPORT, Broja is a young forward with so much potential.

We would like to see him properly reintegrated to the first-team picture for the upcoming 2023/24 season.

It’s certainly not his fault he missed a large chunk of the previous season through injury, and it’s worth remembering he’s an individual with massive potential.

Chelsea’s rising star really impressed in Southampton colours during a previous loan at the Premier League, so our guess is a lot of teams will come in for him if he’s made available for another loan spell.
