Chelsea could face a lot of competition if they want to re-sign AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham.

According to Calciomercato.it, Aston Villa, Brentford, West Ham United and Fulham are all interested in Tammy Abraham.

The Italian outlet’s report also says a return to Chelsea with Romelu Lukaku, who is currently on loan at Roma, heading in the opposite direction cannot be ruled out as well.

Last month, TEAMtalk claimed that the Blues have been keeping an eye on their former striker’s progress and that he could cost around £45m.

Abraham left Chelsea for Roma in 2021 after helping the club to win the Champions League.

Potential five-way battle for Tammy Abraham’s signature

Based on Calciomercato.it‘s report, it looks like there could be a real scrap between five Premier League teams for Abraham’s services.

With Abraham having played for Chelsea before and the Blues able to offer Lukaku in exchange, though, you would expect them to have the upper hand.

The 26-year-old is currently out injured and was not at his best last season, managing to score just eight goals in Serie A.

However, during his first campaign at the Stadio Olimpico, Abraham netted 17 times in the Italian league and helped Jose Mourinho’s men to win the Europa Conference League.

When the England international is in form, he is capable of scoring goals, something Chelsea are severely lacking right now.

They had another difficult day in front of goal last Saturday, failing to score in their 2-0 defeat to Brentford. It is just one example of why Mauricio Pochettino needs to bring in a new centre-forward next year.

Abraham looks like one name Chelsea will possibly consider when the transfer window is open, but it is quite clear that the Roma man also has other suitors in England, and it is not hard to understand why when you look at his overall goal record.
