Chelsea supporters may soon need to forget the past when it comes to what Leeds United star Raphinha did at Stamford Bridge last season.
The 25-year-old attacker wound up a large portion of the Matthew Harding Stand on his last visit to the Bridge, but he could soon be playing in front of them every week.
It’s been reported the Blues have agreed a deal with Leeds in the region of £60/65million to sign Raphinha this summer. There are ongoing discussions still about personal terms, though.
The Brazil international would bring skill and aggression to Thomas Tuchel’s squad, something they’ve already seen first-hand in the past.
Raphinha seriously agitated members of the Chelsea crowd when he performed a dance in front of the home fans after scoring a penalty against them. He put Leeds 1-0 ahead midway through the first half during the Premier League content last December, but the hosts overturned the deficit to win 3-2 with a Jorginho penalty in stoppage time.

The left-footed winger was instrumental in helping Leeds avoid Premier League relegation last season, scoring 11 goals during a challenging year for them.
He’s got the personality, ability and potential to grow at a bigger club.
Chelsea have lost some bite from their squad with the exit of aggressive defender Antonio Rudiger, so it would be great to put some fire back into the group with the signing of Raphinha.
With Manchester City’s forward Raheem Sterling also strongly linked to Stamford Bridge this summer, Chelsea fans could end up cheering for two players next season they used to jeer towards. It’s got the makings of a really exciting attack that Tuchel’s building, too.
