Chelsea are now emerging as a strong option to sign Barcelona’s Ansu Fati.

That is according to a report from Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo.

They claim that Ansu Fati, who’s just 20, is now willing to listen to transfer offers to move in the final few days of the summer window.

It is understood that super-agent Jorge Mendes will get working on a possible deal in the upcoming hours, but any kind of move away from Barcelona would be on loan.

The report adds that Chelsea are one serious candidate for the 20-year-old attacker. In fact, Blues head coach Mauricio Pochettino hugely admirers the left-winger

Also, Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund are potential options for the Spain international to join.

Fati is an excptional young talent to come out of the Barcelona academy, making 112 first-team appearances for the Spanish giants already.

However, the speedy wide player isn’t yet a nailed-on starter for Xavi Hernandez’s side. He’s nearly always used as an impact substitute if he doesn’t start, though.

It’s great to hear the Spanish attacker has the motivation to go play elsewhere during the infancy of his career and become a key starting player.

So, could he soon be putting on a Chelsea kit and running out at Stamford Bridge?

In our view, Fati is a very interesting option that would add some extra explosiveness into Chelsea’s young forward line.

He doesn’t really tick the box as a playmaker if the Blues want someone to fill into the No 10 pocket, but we’re pretty sure he’d score goals and it’s a big plus Pochettino rates him.

It’s worth remembering that Barcelona’s emerging superstar is someone that previously impressed Lionel Messi.

Messi commented on Fati a few years ago, as quoted by Four Four Two: “Ansu Fati got my attention from the first time I saw him training, but you have to go step by step because he is 16 years old.

“He still doesn’t have the responsibility that others want to put on his shoulders. He has the potential to be a very important player but we have to help him.”
