Before his move to Bayern Munich in 2024, Chelsea tried to sign Michael Olise on more than one occasion.
In the end, they failed to, and there is no doubt that the Blues regret not putting up more of a fight against Bayern for his signature.
At the Allianz Arena, Olise has developed into arguably the best wide man in the world. You would have hoped that Chelsea have learned their lesson, but it looks as though they could miss out on another exciting attacker to the German giants.

Bayern Munich reach agreement with Anthony Gordon
Chelsea are keen on signing Anthony Gordon this summer, believing that any manager they hire would welcome the winger’s arrival.
However, Bayern seem to be moving quicker than their English counterparts and now look to be the favourites to win his signature.
Journalist Ben Jacobs has claimed on X that broad terms are now in place between Bayern and Gordon.

According to Jacobs, Newcastle United want around £75m for the 25-year-old, which is significantly higher than Bayern’s valuation of the player.
It could give Chelsea an opportunity to swoop in, but time appears to be running out for the Blues.

Chelsea could rue not signing Anthony Gordon just like Michael Olise
Gordon is already a talented forward, and you would expect him to truly explode playing in a division that is not as strong as the Premier League, such as the Bundesliga.
Ultimately, as has been the case with Olise, if Gordon joins Bayern and can go up another gear, there is going to be a lot of regret at Chelsea.
The England international is already good enough to play for the Blues looking at some of his numbers from recent seasons.
Chelsea should not let Bayern have such an easy run at Gordon, especially when their current left wingers, Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens, have not performed in the current campaign.
With all of that being said, with the state that Chelsea are currently in, it is unlikely that Gordon would want to join them anyway.
