Chelsea attacker Callum Hudson-Odoi will reportedly commit his future to the club – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are thrilled with the update.
According to the Evening Standard, the 18-year-old is prepared to agree a new contract after a breakthrough in negotiations.
It is understood that both parties are pleased with how talks have progress since the Blues were willing to offer £100,000-a-week for him back in March.
The report details an announcement is imminent and he could even inherit the number 10 shirt from Eden Hazard, when his expected move to Real Madrid goes through.
Evening Standard explains that Hudson-Odoi turned down a new deal back in January and handed in a transfer request amid Bayern Munich interest, but it seems he’s now done a U-turn on his future.
The attacker managed to break into the first team under Maurizio Sarri and even got an international call-up to make his debut for the senior England team.
The winger is blessed with tremendous pace and trickery, which is why many feel the Chelsea academy graduate can be the next big thing at the club.
He is currently sidelined with a long-term injury, but a selection of Blues supporters on social media are delighted with the latest rumours about his future.
Here are some of the Chelsea fans on the Hudson-Odoi reports:
