Chelsea are reportedly interested in a move for CSKA Moscow forward Fedor Chalov – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are not pleased with the speculation.

The Express reports that Frank Lampard’s side are considering a £20million offer for the striker during the January window.

It is explained that Blues boss Lampard wants to prioritise an attacking signing in January, but moves for RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner and Lyon’s Moussa Dembele are deemed unlikely.

The report details that Chelsea have a good relationship with Russian top-flight side CSKA, as they monitor one of their star players.

Chalov has scored six goals and supplied five assists in 27 games across all competitions so far this campaign.

He’s a centre-forward with great pace and movement, while aged just 21 he still has plenty to develop with his game.

There is a major underwhelming response from a selection of Chelsea supporters on social media to the Chalov reports, as they don’t feel he’s a high-profile name that can make a big impact at Stamford Bridge.

The Russian forward doesn’t look like he could push Blues first-choice striker Tammy Abraham anytime soon and some believe they need to target someone more proven.
