Chelsea travel to Leicester City on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have claimed they are desperate to see Olivier Giroud make a rare start.
Giroud, 33, was heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window after falling down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.

But the French striker has stayed with the Blues and manager Frank Lampard confirmed (Football.London) earlier on deadline that he would not be exiting.
The experienced target man hasn’t played since November for Chelsea, but some fans have rallied to demand he gets a chance at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League fixture against Leicester.

Chelsea are waiting to see if their first-choice forward Tammy Abraham is available to play on Saturday and whether he’s recovered from an ankle problem.
Lampard confirmed (Football.London) on Friday that Abraham had trained, but that he would be tested in the build up to the Leicester game.

Michy Batshuayi has been the understudy at striker this season, but Giroud is now staying for the second half of the campaign and will need minutes realistically to keep in his international squad.
Here are some Chelsea fans pleading that Giroud gets a chance and is recalled:
