Chelsea have reportedly turned down an offer from Italian club Inter Milan for N’Golo Kante – and some Blues fans on Twitter have responded by claiming he shouldn’t be sold this summer.

According to the Telegraph, Chelsea have rejected a bid from Inter that included Marcelo Brozovic in a player-plus-cash deal for Kante.

The report explains that the opening approach has been rejected, but Serie A giants Inter have not given up hope and could return with another bid if they can raise funds to help submit a straight cash offer.

Kante has been such a vital player at Stamford Bridge since he joined from Leicester City for £30million (BBC) four years ago and is an all-action midfielder with incredible stamina.

The French World Cup winner only played 28 games across all competitions last season for Chelsea, as injuries wrecked his individual campaign and he was unable to become a mainstay in Frank Lampard’s side.

But the 29-year-old has been regarded as one of the best central midfielders in the world during the last few years and still one of the high-profile names in the squad, despite the arrival of some huge signings in this summer window like Thiago Silva, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner.

A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media are thrilled to hear the club rejected the offer for Kante, but are insisting they stand firm on his future and don’t let him go at any cost.
