West Ham midfielder Declan Rice completed 90 minutes for England on Saturday evening in the Nations League – and some Chelsea fans on Twitter were impressed with the international performance of their reported target.
According to the Sun at the end of August, Frank Lampard’s side want to sign the 21-year-old from London rivals West Ham.
The report explained that the Blues feel they are in a strong position to try sign the defensive midfielder and want to bargain his £80million price tag down.

Rice earned his eighth senior England cap over the weekend, as the Three Lions ran out narrow 1-0 away winners against Iceland in the Nations League.
With both nations ending up with 10 men on the pitch, Raheem Sterling’s 91st minute penalty ultimately earned Gareth Southgate’s team three points, but the hosts had Birkir Bjarnason miss a spot-kick even later into stoppage time.

Rice didn’t have too much defensive work to do sitting in the number six role of midfield, but mopped up well on a few occasions and kept possession ticking over.
The youngster couldn’t quite find his shooting boots with a couple of poor efforts on goal that he will want to forget about.
A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media reacted to the West Ham midfielder’s display by saying they could picture him doing a decent job at Stamford Bridge and agree he’s a great talent.
Here are some Blues supporters discussing reported target Rice:
Rice is everything we need to play that 6 role

It’s been good to watch Rice play in a technically better side than WHU. Would still love to see him at The Bridge, but mostly at CB. I think him and Silva would be solid

I want us to sign Rice but I don’t want us to sell Kante
