Isco has been at the pinnacle of world football for several years. He has won four Champions League and is an established international in a packed Spain midfield. Reports that Chelsea have made a 52 million Euro bid for the midfielder have caused quite the reaction amongst some Blues fans.

The 27-year-old has been in and out of the Madrid side this season, with Zinedine Zidane giving him just five league starts so far.

Isco can break the lines with a through ball or beat a number of players with the ball at his feet. The midfielder, who has 12 goals in 38 internationals, would no doubt improve the current Chelsea side and provide a greater depth of creativity from the centre of the park.

Fans have grown frustrated with the likes of Mason Mount in recent weeks, and are keen for the Blues to sign several players in the January transfer window. After four losses in the last five league games, the need for new additions has become apparent. Isco could prove to be a shrewd addition if Madrid accept the bid.

However, his attacking returns this season are slightly concerning. In 16 appearances for Los Blancos, Isco has scored two goals and provided just one assist. For a player that is known for his creative talent, these statistics are underwhelming.

Despite this, some fans on Twitter are thrilled with the reported links. Here is some of the reaction:
