Chelsea midfielder Jorginho is being linked with Arsenal – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have responded by saying they would like to see him sold during this summer transfer window.

Sky Sports claims that Premier League rivals Arsenal are considering the 28-year-old as a possible target during the remainder of the window, as they are currently pursuing a new central midfielder.

The report does explain though that Chelsea manager Frank Lampard currently has him in his first-team plans.

Jorginho, who joined for £50million (Sky Sports) in the 2018 summer window, was part of the team that won the Europa League under Maurizio Sarri and was a regular last season too.

The central midfielder operates as the hub of the team when he’s on the pitch, which allows him to dominate the ball and he’s got a full range of passing in his locker.

With club captain Cesar Azpilicueta starting on the bench in the opening two league games of the season, Jorginho has worn the armband on the pitch and he’s regarded as one of the leaders in the group.

He might not be everyone’s cup of tie due to a lack of pace, but it would be a risk ti strengthen London rivals Arsenal after their recent resurgence and it would leave the Blues squad potentially looking a tad light in a deeper midfield position.

But a selection of Chelsea supporters on social media have a different opinion and feel getting rid of him makes sense and wouldn’t mind him departing.

Here are some Chelsea fans discussing the Jorginho speculation:
