Chelsea’s forgotten man Tiemoue Bakayoko is reportedly attracting interest from Everton – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter want him sold this summer.

According to RMC Sport, the Toffees have identified the 24-year-old as a potential replacement for Idrissa Gueye, who is set for a switch to Paris Saint-Germain.

The report explains that the Frenchman is one of the players on a midfield shortlist drawn up by Everton and they could give him a second chance to impress in English football.

Bakayoko made a colossal £40million (BBC) move to Stamford Bridge back in 2017 and he was a very exciting addition at the time.

He had played a key role in midfield during Monaco’s title-winning season in Ligue 1 and also their run to the Champions League semi-final.

The central midfielder is a powerhouse with perfect physical attributes to succeed in the Premier League, while he also helps protect the back four.

But his form disappeared when he joined Chelsea and he was mainly poor during the 2017/18 campaign for the Blues.

He spent last season out on loan with Italian outfit AC Milan to try get back on track, but has certainly not impressed in pre-season since returning to Frank Lampard’s new-look Chelsea.

A selection of Chelsea supporters have made it clear they don’t want Bakayoko around for next season and are loving reported interest in him.

The Blues are well stocked in midfield without him through the likes of Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount and Ross Barkley.
