Chelsea have done some groundwork in the last two weeks for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.

That is according to well-respected journalist Simon Phillips.

Phillips has claimed on his Substack that Chelsea have been doing groundwork very recently in case they decide to step up interest in him this summer.

He’s not ruling out the Blues making a move for Dusan Vlahovic in this window. He adds that the 23-year-old Juventus star has been on Chelsea’s radar since last summer.

Also, the Serie A centre-forward currently has a price tag around €90million (£77million).

This comes at a time when Juventus’ No 9 is linked with a potential move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano recently claimed that PSG have initiated opening contact with Juventus for Vlahovic.

It’s interesting to note that the Serbian centre-forward is open to the idea of moving to Paris, too.

Speaking on his YouTube channel yesterday, Romano said: “PSG are considering a move for Vlahovic. They know the player is keen on the move, and now it’s on Juventus and PSG.”

So, will we see Chelsea make a last-minute dash for Vlahovic?

It seems like the hottest transfer rumours around him coming to Stamford Bridge have gone silent recently, but Phillips doesn’t think everything is done quite yet.

The left-footed striker scored 14 goals in 42 games across all competitions last season, which is a tally that doesn’t set the heart racing. However, he’s a young and improving frontman that has such a well balanced game with his overall attributes.

This is a deal we certainly wouldn’t mind sparking into life in the coming days!
