Chelsea have now accepted bids from Al-Hilal and Juventus for Romelu Lukaku as Mauricio Pochettino edges closer to selling the unwanted striker.
That is according to Calcio Mercato.
So, what is the situation involving Romelu Lukaku at Chelsea? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, the Belgian appears to have no future at Stamford Bridge, with Pochettino bluntly confirming that an exit is far more likely than the forward staying in west London.
Lukaku seemed to be heading for Inter Milan – until he angered the UEFA Champions League finalists by also speaking to AC Milan and Juventus.
Now, the latter side and Al-Hilal are the frontrunners to secure his signature, with both making offers. However, Juventus are yet to formalise their bid.
Calcio Mercato believe Al-Hilal have seen a €50m (£43m) bid for Lukaku accepted by Chelsea.

In regards to Juventus, the Serie A side’s offer is only worth €40m (£34m) in comparison, although Chelsea are happy to accept that sum as well and let the Belgium international decide who to join.
At this stage of this tiresome transfer saga, Chelsea seem happy to just offload Lukaku – who Thomas Tuchel called “quality” in 2021 – to anybody.
Lukaku exit could see incomings arrive at Chelsea
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea are interested in Juventus No.9 Dusan Vlahovic, but are waiting to sell Lukaku until they make a serious push for the Serbia international.
Presumably, the 23-year-old is not the only striker on Pochettino’s shortlist, so it would appear that Lukaku is simply preventing Chelsea from making any moves for a replacement until he decides his own future.

With a thin squad at Stamford Bridge – specifically in the striker department – Chelsea need to make some signings who are ready for senior football.
Therefore, Lukaku must make a decision quickly, so Chelsea can get on with their summer recruitment plans.
