Chelsea have been in conversations recently with Borussia Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko.
That is according to well-respected journalist Simon Phillips.
Phillips has reported via his Substack on Friday morning that Chelsea have held talks with Youssoufa Moukoko.
He’s been told by sources that there’s been “recent contacts” between Chelsea and the 18-year-old Dortmund star.
However, it’s unlikely the teenage attacker will be on his way to Stamford Bridge now.

Interestingly, journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed today that Moukoko will be staying put in Dortmund.
He claimed this morning on X: “Understand Youssufa Moukoko stays at Borussia Dortmund — as player’s stance looks clear now.”
Moukoko has already made quite the impression in Dortmund’s first team at the age of 18. He’s scored 13 goals and made eight assists in 75 senior appearances. This comes after scoring a hatful of goals at various youth levels for the German club, too.
The German frontman looks like he’ll be continuing his development in the Bundesliga for now, though.
Described as “very talented” by Janusz Michallik on ESPN, Moukoko is definitely someone the whole of Europe should be watching very closely.

We’re interested to hear Chelsea made late contact with a quality young striker, but we think Nicolas Jackson’s early form means we could be in a good spot when it comes to the No 9 position.
It could be great to see Jackson and Armando Broja, two young and talented forward, battle for a starting position this season.
Afterwards, next year could be time to invest in a new centre-forward if a 20-goal man hasn’t emerged.
