Chelsea have reportedly stepped up their interest in a £25m-rated attacking target by submitting a transfer offer.

It doesn’t sound like Chelsea are slowing down their pace during what’s turning out to be a very busy summer window for the club. Now, the Blues are linked with signing a new forward.

Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku and Marc Guiu appear to be the current genuine options in the striker position at Stamford Bridge. Speaking via Football.London last week, Enzo Maresca claimed Guiu’s likely to stay at Chelsea, so he’ll get his chance in the first team rather than going straight out on loan.

Chelsea make offer for Maximilian Beier

Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has claimed via X that Chelsea have now launched a “concrete offer” to sign Hoffenheim attacker Maximilian Beier.

It is explained that Premier League duo Chelsea and Aston Villa have made offers for the Bundesliga forward.

Apparently, the 21-year-old’s got a release clause in his deal worth €30m (£25m). A decision on the German frontman is expected within the next couple of weeks.

This comes after Plettenberg said via X a week ago that Chelsea gathered information about Beier. It’s interesting to see they’ve now decided to make their move for him.

What Maximilian Beier did last season

Chelsea fans may despair when they see the club linked with yet another youngster. There’s a great argument to suggest the club should be adding experience and know-how to this young squad.

Despite being just 21, Beier isn’t a complete novice at the start of his career. In fact, he scored 16 goals in 33 Bundesliga league appearances last season for Hoffenheim, so perhaps he’s an interesting option for Premier League sides.

The Germany international, who was with the host nation at Euro 2024 this summer, is definitely an exiting talent on the rise.
