Chelsea have now made a move to sign Paulo Dybala from Roma as Mauricio Pochettino aims to strengthen his attack at Stamford Bridge.
That is according to Pedro Almeida.
So, what is the situation involving Chelsea and Paulo Dybala? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, a story from Roma Press on Wednesday claimed that Chelsea have shortlisted the Argentina international as Pochettino looks to bring a quality forward to west London.
Now – however – it sounds as if Chelsea have begun their pursuit of Dybala.
Almeida – a respected journalist – claims that Chelsea have made contact with the Roma No.21’s agent after he enjoyed an impressive 2022/23 campaign under Mourinho in Rome.
Dybala scored 18 goals and provided eight assists in 38 appearances as Roma reached the UEFA Europa League final, opening the scoring against Sevilla in the showpiece event before the Italian giants eventually lost on penalties.

Interestingly, the 29-year-old could be available for a bargain fee.
Almeida believes Dybala has a release clause worth just €12m (£10m) written into his contract at Roma, which is an incredibly low fee for someone of his talent.
Chelsea could get bargain of the summer in Dybala
If Chelsea can strike a £10m deal to sign Dybala, it could prove to be the bargain of the entire summer transfer window.
The South American – who Jose Mourinho once called a “quality” player, as quoted by the Mirror – is a goalscorer as well as a creator, while he can also called himself a World Cup winner.

Dybala’s ability to link up with teammates and create goals, as well as score them himself, could see him become a crucial piece of the jigsaw under Pochettino, as the 51-year-old looks to get Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke firing next season.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Chelsea make a move to secure Dybala’s signature.
