Chelsea have scouted Inter Milan defender Federico Dimarco this season.
That is according to a report from 90min.
It claims that Chelsea are interested in signing a new left-back because of the uncertainty surrounding Marc Cucurella‘s future and that the club have been watching Federico Dimarco recently.

However, the 25-year-old is keen to stay at Inter and wants to sign a new contract.
As relayed by 90min, Dimarco said after his side’s 1-0 win against Empoli over the weekend: “I don’t think there will be any problems. I certainly want to renew my contract with Inter.”
Chelsea may need to sign a new left-back
Chelsea currently have Cucurella, Ben Chilwell and Ian Maatsen for the left-back position, while Levi Colwill has been playing there this season.
However, if Cucurella and Maatsen leave Stamford Bridge, which looks like a strong possibility, then the club are probably going to have to bring someone like Dimarco in.

Cucurella has not made an appearance for Chelsea in the Premier League this season, while Maatsen’s contract expires next summer. Considering that, it would not be a shock to see the Blues sell at least one of the two in January.
Cucurella will surely not want to sit on the bench for the rest of the campaign, while Chelsea will want to avoid losing Maatsen on a free transfer. These things make sales possible when the window reopens.
If they want to bing Dimarco to Stamford Bridge in January, though, it looks like Mauricio Pochettino may have some persuading to do, with the Italy international seemingly happy with life at the San Siro.
