Chelsea are completely shocked that Michael Olise has signed a new contract at Crystal Palace.
That is according to a report from 90min.
They claim that Chelsea were confident of signing Michael Olise, 21, from Palace after triggering a £35million release clause.
However, the Premier League club confirmed on Thursday afternoon that the French attacker has signed a new four-year deal with them to extend his stay at Selhurst Park.
90min says that Chelsea are ‘stunned’ by the transfer news.

This deal has taken the Chelsea fanbase by complete surprise, so it’s only natural the club are feeling the same way.
Well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on YouTube earlier this week that Olise’s camp had agreed to go to Chelsea and a transfer was imminent this week.
However, the left-footed winger is staying at Palace to continue his development and career.

So, will we see Mauricio Pochetino’s side look elsewhere and move to sign a wide player before the summer window closes?
Interestingly, Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson has emerged as a new name in the transfer rumour mill today. The Guardian says that Chelsea have opened initial talks with Forest for 22-year-old Welsh attacker Johnson.
With Christopher Nkunku currently sidelined through injury, we do think there’s a spot open in the squad to recruit one more wide player.
Our prediction is that Olise will go for over double £35million whenever he does eventually leave Palace.
