Chelsea could be the mystery club that have made an offer to sign Tottenham’s Harry Kane on a free transfer next summer.
That is according to journalist Christian Falk.
While Chelsea fans have been glued to a manic Thursday that has provided transfer developments involving Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia and Tyler Adams, Spurs fans will have been biting their nails over Harry Kane.
Sky Sports reported earlier today that Bayern Munich have agreed a deal with Spurs worth up to £100million in total for Kane this summer. The 30-year-old striker now has a decision to make on his future, with his current preference leaning towards staying in north London for another year.

Falk, who’s a journalist for German publication BILD, has provided a fresh update regarding the England captain.
Apparently, an unknown club has now made a “significantly better offer” than Bayern to sign Kane next summer when his Spurs contract expires.
Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are named as three potential candidates that could already be in for the centre-forward ahead of his free agent status.
Falk wrote on Twitter: “According to our information, there are rumours that a club made Harry Kane a significantly better offer for a free transfer in 2024. Paris is looking for a replacement for [Kylian] Mbappe. Chelsea and Manchester United cannot be ruled out either.”

We certainly wouldn’t put it past our owners to have made a move for Kane, especially when you see how frantic the past year has been under them in the transfer market.
Of course, the Mauricio Pochettino factor is one supporters will discuss. In fairness, the Chelsea head coach got the best out of the Spurs talisman when he previously coached him for several years across London.
Described as a “world class” player by David Moyes in 2022, via Sky Sports, Kane is one of the best frontmen around that defines Premier League proven.
We find it very hard to imagine the striker leaving Spurs to join one of their biggest rivals. He could end up being free to make up his own choice in a year’s time, though.
It’s worth adding that The Evening Standard reported last month that Kane would reject any move to Chelsea this summer because of his loyalties to Spurs.
