Chelsea may have confirmed the signing of Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhailo Mudryk after asking their fans to interact with the player on social media.

The Blues and Shakhtar reached an agreement over a transfer for the 22-year-old on Saturday after a meeting between respective club executives in Turkey.

Chelsea are expected to pay a fixed fee of €70million (£62m) with a further €30m (£26.5m) in add-ons for the player.

Mudryk, who has reportedly flown to London for a medical, on the other hand, is set to sign a seven-and-a-half-year deal that ties him to Stamford Bridge until 2030.

There is no official confirmation yet, at least at the time of this writing.

However, Chelsea have been busy on social media making it look like as if it is a 100 percent done deal.

The club uploaded Mudryk’s photo on their official Instagram account with a caption saying: “Drop @mmudryk10 a message to show some love!”

In an Instagram story, they also asked their fans to follow the Ukraine international’s Instagram account.

So, it is safe to say that Chelsea are very confident that the deal will go through.

An earlier report from The Athletic also claimed that Mudryk himself is open to joining Chelsea. And since his signature is likely the only missing piece in the deal, Chelsea fans can expect an official announcement soon.
