Chelsea may look to try sign Juventus star Gleison Bremer this summer after Wesley Fofana suffered a serious injury.
That is according to a report from CalcioMercato.
The Italian publication claims that Chelsea’s attention may turn towards signing a new defender after a serious knee injury during pre-season to Blues centre-back Wesley Fofana, who’s expected to miss six months at a minimum.
It is explained that Mauricio Pochettino’s side may look at Juventus centre-half Gleison Bremer as a replacement.
The report adds that Tottenham are interested buyers in the 26-year-old, too.

The report above mentions that Juventus could be prepared to sell Bremer during the summer window, but they’re going to want more than €50million (£43million) for him.
In our view, Chelsea certainly don’t need to advance with this idea.
Described as “lightning fast” and “excellent in the air” by a report from The Sun, Bremer has proven himself to be a top defender in Serie A during recent years.
The Brazilian is a serious rock in defence that had a decent debut season in Juventus colours last year.
However, the last thing Chelsea needs right now on their transfer shopping list is a new centre-back.

There’s certainly injuries in the Blues defence right now with the likes of Fofana and Benoit Badiashile suffering, but there’s still some fantastic alternative options to select from.
Thiago Silva, Levi Colwill and Trevoh Chalobah are all currently available on the pre-season tour.
It doesn’t feel like Bremer’s signature would make any sense for the long-term.
