Chelsea are reportedly looking at Premier League champions Liverpool when it comes to potential transfer targets for the summer window.
The Blues have not been afraid to look at fellow elite English sides in order to strengthen their own squad, and a number of their first team squad all learnt their craft at Manchester City.
Cole Palmer, Romeo Lavia, Liam Delap, Tosin Adarabioyo and potential new signing Jamie Gittens all came through the academy there, with Enzo Maresca taking charge of a number of them too.
Chelsea have maintained interest in some individuals at Liverpool before. They were keen on signing Darwin Nunez in the past, whilst also tested the waters for Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah before they signed new contracts.
They are probably better off looking at those who aren’t guaranteed starters at Anfield, with one player who fits that bill being Harvey Elliott.

Chelsea considering signing Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott
The midfielder made 18 Premier League appearances for the Reds last season, however his biggest moment of the campaign came in the Champions League.
He scored the only goal in a first leg win over PSG, and actually found the net three times in just five games in the competition.
Elliott’s performances have caught the eye of Chelsea, with CaughtOffside claiming that they are considering making an offer to sign him this summer.
The report goes on to say that fellow Premier League side, Brighton, are the most likely side to make an offer for the midfielder, who the report states could move for a fee of £50m.

Chelsea legend Joe Cole a huge fan of Harvey Elliott
Elliott is currently playing a starring role in the England U21s European Championship charge. They will face Germany in the final on Saturday night.
After scoring both goals in the semi-final, and being described as ‘outstanding’ by manager Lee Carsley (TribalFootball) former Chelsea star Joe Cole claimed that he is extremely excited about the prospects of the young midfielder.
He told the Mail Online: “I love the kid, he plays football the right way. I am excited for his future. Any team outside the top six, he comfortably walks into, and then after two years at that level, he comes back to Liverpool’s level and competes.”
Chelsea fans will likely point to the depth they already have in midfield as a reason to focus their efforts elsewhere in the market.
Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo, Lavia, Dario Essugo, Andrey Santos and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall are all options for Maresca currently at Stamford Bridge.
