Chelsea are convinced that they won’t be selling Lewis Hall this summer.
That is according to a report from FootballTransfers.
They claim that Premier League side Newcastle United are interested in signing Lewis Hall, 18, during this summer transfer window.
It is understood that Chelsea don’t plan to sell their English teenager under any circumstance, though.
In particular, the Blues won’t entertain offers from clubs such as Newcastle, who they expect to be competing with this year for a Premier League top four spot.

There’s a slight contradiction here in the fact that Chelsea have, in fact, done business with direct league rivals already this summer. We’ve seen the likes of Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount and Kai Havertz all join teams that finished in last season’s top four.
However, we’re glad to hear that won’t be happening with a really talented youngster from the Blues academy.
Hall, who made an eye-catching breakthrough into the first team last season, looks a real star in the making.
The left-footer has the quality to play left-back or central midfield to a very high standard, so selling him would be a mammoth mistake.
However, we think it may be worth exploring a potential loan move for him.

Hall didn’t look fazed in the slightest during any of his 12 first-team games for Chelsea last season.
Pat Nevin previously described Hall as a “special talent”, via Chelsea’s website. We couldn’t agree more with him, too.
Our main concern is that he’s not had a proper look-in so far during pre-season, so does Mauricio Pochettino not quite fancy him?
It’s pretty hard to imagine Hall breaking into the side as the starting left-back when you look at the competition he’s up against. Meanwhile, it seems like he’s down the midfield pecking order as well.
At the age of 18, a season-long loan could be perfect for his development.
We definitely think Hall could go and be a big help at a team in the bottom half of the Premier League.
