Chelsea are hopeful that they will be able to sell Romelu Lukaku next summer.
That is according to a report from the Daily Mirror.
It claims that Chelsea are optimistic about moving Romelu Lukaku on and getting a credible fee for the striker, with the club said to be eager to get him off their books.
Lukaku is currently at AS Roma, where he is showing a bit of form right now, but only joined the Italian side on a season-long loan.

In his five games for the club so far, the 30-year-old has scored three goals, with one of those coming in the Europa League.
Credible fee
It will be interesting to see if Chelsea really can get a credible fee for Lukaku. One thing that is for sure is the Blues are going to make a heavy loss on the Belgian, who Jose Mourinho once described as a “top striker”.
They paid Inter Milan £97.5m to re-sign him back in 2021. The club would be fortunate to make even half of that back.
Lukaku is obviously not a bad player. When the Belgium international is at the top of his game, he is easily one of the best centre-forwards in the world. You only have to look at his goal record to know that.

For example, in his final season as an Inter-owned player, he scored 30 times in 44 appearances.
However, Lukaku has not showed that kind of form since and is not getting any younger, so we do not expect him to be sold for huge money next year.
At this point, though, the most important thing is to just get him off the club’s books for good, as he clearly has no future at Stamford Bridge.
