Chelsea are now set to stop trying to sign Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise after getting Cole Palmer this summer.
That is according to a report from The Evening Standard.
Palace attacker Michael Olise, 21, was strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in the recent transfer window. He did end up signing a contract extension to stay at Selhurst Park, though.
This comes after well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on YouTube last month that Premier League star Olise was close to joining Chelsea.

The Evening Standard now reports that Chelsea continue to be admirers of Olise.
It is explained that Mauricio Pochettino’s side are likely to ‘cool their interest’ after signing Cole Palmer, though.
The report adds that Olise has a release clause that will become active next year, which will be for a fee much larger than the £35million clause Chelsea activated last month.
He’s a talented left-footed playmaker still liked by the Blues, but there’s a creative attacker now looking to make his mark at Stamford Bridge.

Similarly to Olise, Palmer is a left-footed technician that can play as a right-winger or No 10.
Chelsea decided to invest on deadline day when they signed Palmer from Manchester City in a £42.5million deal (BBC).
We’re more than happy to watch Chelsea’s newest attacker try prove himself over a period of time at the club before looking at more signings.
