Chelsea could make a bid for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen in January.
According to 90min, while a summer deal is more likely, Chelsea are ready to test Napoli’s resolve in the winter transfer window.
Because of his ongoing contract dilemma with the Italian club, the same outlet claims that the Blues now believe that a move in 2024 is a real possibility.
Victor Osimhen‘s existing deal expires in 2025, so Napoli are going to find themselves on dangerous ground soon if they cannot get the 24-year-old to sign an extension.
If Chelsea cannot land Osimhen in the January transfer window, there is always the option of trying to reach a pre-agreement with Napoli over a summer deal.

Should Chelsea make a bid for Victor Osimhen in January?
If there is a genuine chance of signing him, then they have to. The Nigerian is one of the best centre-forwards in the world, with AS Monaco’s Folarin Balogun recently hailing him as a “world-class striker” in an interview with ESPN.
He scored 26 goals in 32 league appearances last season, helping Napoli to win the Serie A title.
This term, Osimhen has netted six times in nine top-flight outings, so he is well on course to have another good campaign.
If Chelsea can get him in January, then great, though his arrival may come a bit too late as far as this season goes.
Mauricio Pochettino‘s men sit in 10th, 12 points behind Aston Villa in fourth. By the time Osimhen joins, if Chelsea manage to get a deal over the line, Champions League qualification could be well out of sight.
If so, then the next campaign is going to have to be the one where the Blues return to the top four. With a forward of Osimhen’s calibre in their squad, there really will not be any excuses left.
