Chelsea are now being tipped to launch an opening transfer bid for one of their summer targets.

From what we’ve seen of Chelsea so far in this window, they are acting quickly and efficiently to bring new faces to the club.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Tosin Adarabioyo, Marc Guiu and Omari Kellyman have all joined the Blues this summer.

The squad is starting to fill up as Enzo Maresca takes charge of his first pre-season as the head coach at Stamford Bridge.

The latest reports suggests that Chelsea could be about to advance their interest in a German attacker.

Chelsea plan offer for Karim Adeyemi

CaughtOffside claims that Chelsea are planning to make an opening transfer bid for Borussia Dortmund attacker Karim Adeyemi.

It is understood that the 22-year-old winger is attracting interest this summer from the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool.

The report says that the Blues are keen to ramp up their interest in Adeyemi, so they could make an opening offer to Dortmund worth around €30m (£25m).

On top of that, it is believed that Chelsea plan to offer the Bundesliga forward a long-term deal until around 2030/2031. This is very much in line with the club’s strategy in the last couple of years.

Would this be a good deal?

First of all, Adeyemi is a very exciting player with lightning pace and real directness in his game.

Glenn Hoddle even described Adeyemi as a “fabulous” young player back in 2022, as quoted by The Metro.

He’s not quite kicked on as expected yet in Dortmund colours, scoring 14 goals in 66 appearances for the German club since he joined them two years ago.

However, if Chelsea can complete a transfer for around £25m, it could turn out to be a really smart buy.
