Chelsea are now on the verge of selling a first-team player in the January transfer window.
Due to the size of the Chelsea squad, there are several individuals linked with potential moves away from Stamford Bridge this month.
For example, Ben Chilwell and Carney Chukwuemeka have been told they can leave Chelsea during this current mid-season window. Interestingly, it turns out that one of their teammates is about to go out the exit doors before them.

Chelsea reach agreement with Torino for Cesare Casadei
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Torino have beaten Serie A rivals Lazio in the transfer race to sign Chelsea’s Cesare Casadei.
Apparently, the 22-year-old Blues midfielder will become a Torino player as he prepares to join the Italian top-flight club on Tuesday.
The report says that Chelsea and Torino have agreed a deal worth around €10m/12m (£8m/£10m), plus there’s a ‘very high’ percentage on any future resale. He should officially become a Torino player today to end two and a half years on Chelsea’s books.
Speaking earlier in January, Enzo Maresca admitted it’s best if Casadei exits Chelsea to go and play regularly elsewhere. Unfortunately, the head coach can’t find room for him in the side on a regular basis.
The young midfielder has played six games across all competitions in the first half of the season, so it feels a bit of a no-brainer for him to be moving on.

Will Chelsea regret Cesare Casadei sale?
While it’s very feasible that Casadei will go and carve a successful career for himself, Chelsea can’t be overly criticised for selling him at this moment in time. In fairness, it sounds like they’ll receive a sizeable cash windfall if he does sell for big money in the future.
Even though Chelsea rate Casadei as someone with ‘huge potential’, it’s very hard for anyone to break into the current midfield when they’re competing with the likes of Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia.
We’re confident that Casdaei will enjoy a lot more football in Serie A in Torino colours ahead of his imminent move.
The box-to-box midfielder possesses the physical and technical skills to be a top player. It’s increasingly more difficult for players to break into the Chelsea XI, though.
