Chelsea are being urged by their scouts that Club Brugge attacker Antonio Nusa would be a great signing.

In fact, the Blues are reportedly ‘very keen’ to try sign the 18-year-old rising talent in the New Year.

Antonio Nusa, who’s developing in the Belgian league, has already played 57 first-team games for Club Brugge.

The skilful left-winger is also a senior Norway international, where he plays alongside the likes of Premier League superstars Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard.

January transfer is possible

Well-respected journalist Simon Phillips has shared that he’s heard from sources that Chelsea do have an interest in Nusa.

It is explained that that the Blues really want to sign the teenage forward, so there’s a chance a deal may happen in January.

In addition, Nusa would be more likely to join up with the Chelsea squad next summer rather than move mid-season.

Phillips wrote via his Substack: “I can confirm the reports of Antonio Nusa being a solid Chelsea target, with sources updating me on that yesterday.

“The 18-year-old Club Brugge winger has been heavily scouted on a consistent basis by Chelsea scouts in the last two seasons and he is a player who has been highly recommended collectively by all scouts who watched him. Chelsea are very keen to push to sign him, and that could happen in January, but will be depending on other deals/situations. He’s always been seen as one who will move in the summer rather than in the winter.”

Chelsea interest in Antonio Nusa

If Chelsea want to win the race for Brugge’s highly-rated youngster, it sounds like they’ve got a huge battle on their hands.

Speaking via CaughtOffside this week, journalist Fabrizio Romano has explained that Chelsea are one of 10 top clubs following Nusa.

This deal follows the blueprint of most transfers under this ownership at Stamford Bridge. That is the reason why we’re left a little irritated.

Nusa’s a very eye-catching player to watch with low centre of gravity, but we highly doubt he’s ready at this moment in time to take the Premier League by storm.

We would much rather the focus be on more proven and finished articles in the transfer windows.
