Chelsea scouts have now reportedly told the club which striker they should sign in the summer.

Nicolas Jackson is currently the main centre-forward in Mauricio Pochettino‘s squad.

The 22-year-old has made 32 appearances in all competitions this season and scored 12 goals, which is not the worst return.

However, outside of Jackson, Pochettino does not have too many other options.

Christopher Nkunku can play up front, but the Frenchman is not a natural striker and is currently out injured, while Armando Broja joined Fulham on loan during the January transfer window.

Chelsea recently pocketed £4m for the deal after the Albania international failed to make an appearance against Tottenham Hotspur over the weekend.

Chelsea scouts recommend RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko to club

To address their centre-forward dilemma, Chelsea could now make a move for RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko.

According to GiveMeSport, Chelsea scouts have recommended to the club that they agree a deal with Leipzig for the 20-year-old.

The same outlet has claimed that scouts at Arsenal have also done the same thing, so the Blues could face competition for his signature in the summer.

Journalist Simon Phillips recently reported that Chelsea have been really impressed with Sesko’s data and that the Slovenian has a £45m release clause in his contract.

Sesko has a very similar record to Jackson this season, scoring 11 goals in 34 outings.

Which club is Benjamin Sesko more likely to join, Chelsea or Arsenal?

As much as some Chelsea supporters would probably really welcome the arrival of Sesko at Stamford Bridge, the Emirates may be a more likely destination for the former Red Bull Salzburg man.

Arsenal are simply in a better position than their London rivals right now, recently qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Champions League while competing for the Premier League title.

Chelsea, on the other hand, find themselves in the bottom half of the table.

If they are to beat Arsenal to Sesko’s signature, then they may have a lot of convincing to do in the summer.
