After already making plenty of big signings in this transfer window, Chelsea’s focus will turn to player sales in the build up to the new season.
The additions of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap have already paid off with their presence during the Club World Cup triumph, and there is excitement over the impact Jamie Gittens and Estevao Willian will have upon their debuts.
Despite the large prize money the club received as a result of their participation in the competition, they have also worked quickly to move players on, frequently for a big profit.
The Blues got more than £50m from Arsenal for Noni Madueke, while also selling Djordje Petrovic for nearly double the fee they paid for him.

Atletico Madrid in ‘direct contact’ with Chelsea over Renato Veiga deal
Another player they will be looking to make money on is Renato Veiga, who was not selected for the Club World Cup after spending the second half of last season on loan at Juventus.
The Blues are asking for £34m to sell Veiga, with a number of clubs being reported to be interested in the Portugal international.
One of those sides is Atletico Madrid, and it looks as if the player is coming round to the idea of joining the La Liga giants.
Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Veiga is keen on a move to Atletico, and the two clubs are in direct contact over a potential move.
He said: “Atlético Madrid have now made direct contact with Renato Veiga’s camp… and the player is keen on the move!
“Chelsea insist on package worth at least €40m to sell Veiga while Atléti are prepared to advance in negotiations.”
Renato Veiga replacement waiting in the wings
Chelsea are in pretty desperate need to sign some competition for Marc Cucurella, who currently does not have any recognised cover for him at left-back.
Despite this, it has been claimed Chelsea are looking to move on from Veiga and Ben Chilwell this summer.
This is perhaps due to their interest in signing Jorrel Hato, who is expected to leave Ajax this summer after establishing himself as a very promising defender.
Chelsea are the ‘most advanced’ in the race for Hato, however face competition from top Premier League sides such as Liverpool and Arsenal.
