Chelsea feel confident in their pursuit to sign Brighton’s Moises Caicedo this summer.
That is according to well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi admitted last month that his side could possibly lose Moises Caicedo in the summer transfer window.
There’s plenty of speculation that Chelsea are hot on the tail of the 21-year-old midfielder, too.

Romano has claimed on Twitter today that Chelsea believe they’re in a good spot during their pursuit of Caicedo.
Apparently, Mauricio Pochettino’s Blues side will submit an offer for the Brighton midfielder once more players have exited Stamford Bridge.
The player’s personal terms is already sorted, too.
Romano said: “No changes on Caicedo deal. Chelsea expected to bid after outgoing and still feel in control of the situation. There’s no official negotiation ongoing yet.
“Personal terms almost agreed.”

The Guardian claimed earlier this month that Brighton could want £80million for Caicedo this summer.
We would like to see Chelsea try drive that valuation down, but we’ve seen in recent transfer windows what tough negotiators Brighton can be.
In our view, Caicedo is exactly what the Blues need this summer.
He’s an all-action defensive midfielder with fantastic physical attributes out of possession. Also, the Ecuador international is technically sound on the ball and a great passer.
Let’s hope we can sink our teeth into a midfield partnership of Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez at Stamford Bridge next season.
