Chelsea target Benjamin Sesko has just broken a Champions League record for German club RB Leipzig.
Benjamin Sesko, who turned 20 in May, was on the scoresheet last night.
The young striker came off the bench to score a composed goal in Leipzig’s 3-1 win against Young Boys in the Champions League group stages.
Remarkably, that now makes the 20-year-old Leipzig’s youngest-ever scorer in the Champions League (CBS Sports).

Sesko is yet to start a single match since his summer arrival at Leipzig from Red Bull Salzburg, but he’s still managed to score three goals in five appearances.
It’s surely a matter of time before the young centre-forward gets into the XI for the Bundesliga outfit.
The Slovenia international is a very exciting frontman with great pace and power, who’s already starting to make a serious name for himself across Europe.
If you consider Chelsea’s clear plan has been to be sign the world’s very best rising stars, it’s no surprise that Sesko is a player they’ve recently been linked with in the transfer rumour mill.

Journalist Simon Phillips reported on his Substack earlier this month that Chelsea are already considering Sesko as a potential transfer target for January.
Mauricio Pochettino’s Blues squad is still missing a serious goal threat, so it’ll be interesting to monitor if Sesko can keep up this scoring rate at Leipzig.
The Slovenian frontman has been likened to Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, the best striker in the world for many people.
Sesko said, as quoted by The Chronicle: “My teammates at the club tell me that Haaland and I are very similar, especially in terms of speed. Most of them even tell me that I’m better than him!”
