Chelsea will soon make a fresh move in their attempt to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic this summer.

That is according to journalist Dean Jones.

Dusan Vlahovic, who’s just 23, is a high-profile centre-forward linked with a potential transfer to Stamford Bridge during this summer window.

Apparently, the Blues are set to ramp up their interest in the Juventus frontman.

Jones has told GiveMeSport Chelsea will hold fresh talks with Juventus in the coming days about Vlahovic. They won’t be the only Premier League side entering discussions, though.

It is understood that Chelsea touched base about the Serie A attacker five weeks ago, but they’re now ready for another round of talks to discuss the player.

Apparently, interested buyers will need to cough up £70million to sign the Serbia international in this transfer window.

Jones said: “Juve are preparing for new contact around Vlahovic to land in the coming days. I’m hearing that there are several conversations planned between different Premier League clubs and Juve over a few players, and it is thought that in one of these Chelsea will look to discover more information about the availability of Vlahovic. They touched base about five weeks ago or so over this so already have a general understanding.

“If Vlahovic is going to leave, then those conversations need to open up now. The value attached to him is still around £70m.”

Vlahovic has proven himself to be a top player in Italy during recent years, scoring 61 goals in 140 Serie A appearances.

Now 23, it’s going to be interesting to see just how far he can keep improving as he matures and gets more experience.

Journalist Rudy Galetti recently told GiveMeSport that Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino wants to sign Vlahovic this summer.

The Blues have got young strikers Nicolas Jackson and Armando Broja as exciting options for the new season, but do we need to sign another high-profile name in attack with a more proven record?
