Reports have claimed that Chelsea are going to have to take on some unusual terms if they are to complete a deal for Michael Olise.

According to The Guardian, his £35m release clause could actually be higher than is claimed, and involve some unique terms.

It has been widely reported recently that the Blues are considering Olise as one of many options to play on the wings in the upcoming season.

This is potentially off the back of some underwhelming pre-season performances, none more so than Raheem Sterling.

The England international has endured a rough campaign in the United States, with many expecting him if anyone to be keen to bounce back from a tough season.

However, the likes of Mykhailo Mudryk and even an out of position Ian Maatsen looking far more threatening than the man with more than 100 Premier League goals to his name.

A deal for Olise is currently complicated due to the extent of an injury suffered in the summer, and whether he will be out too long for them to make a deal.

An attacker has just been bumped up the list of priorities after the extent of Christopher Nkunku’s injury became clear.

The France international is now set to be out for a prolonged period of time following his issue suffered in the final pre-season friendly against Borussia Dortmund, and his replacement is certainly needed for the opening third of the campaign.
