Chelsea youngster Omari Hutchinson could reportedly still leave the club today on loan.

According to The Athletic on its transfer deadline day blog, Hutchinson is attracting interest from teams in the Championship and in Europe over a temporary loan deal until the end of the season.

It is explained that the 19-year-old held discussions yesterday with Chelsea’s loan technical coach Carlo Cudicini about his future.

The report adds that the teenage attacker may end up staying with the Blues during the second half of the campaign, but the club are contemplating whether a loan would be more beneficial for the player’s development.

Omari Hutchinson interest

Hutchinson, who moved to Chelsea from Arsenal last summer, has made two first-team appearances so far this season.

The teenage forward has been spotted around the Blues senior group a lot, but there’s plenty of competition to force his way into contention at Stamford Bridge.

The Evening Standard claimed last month that Graham Potter has been ‘hugely impressed’ by the Chelsea prospect. It doesn’t senior minutes in the second half of the season, though.

In our view, Hutchinson should seize the opportunity to leave Chelsea on loan if the right opportunity arises in the final few hours.

Surely, there’s a host of Championship sides that could do with the exciting young attacker.
