Graham Potter is reportedly really impressed by what he’s seen from Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher behind the scenes.

Gallagher, who’s come through the Chelsea academy and benefited from a number of loan spells, is now a first-team player at Stamford Bridge.

The England midfielder has played regularly this season with 26 appearances across all competitions, including three consecutive starts in recent Premier League fixtures.

However, the 22-year-old is actually linked with a potential exit further down the line.

Conor Gallagher future

According to the Evening Standard, Gallagher fears that he could be sold in the summer if Chelsea miss out on Champions League football.

It is explained that the Blues do view him as one of their most saleable assets because they think he could sell for more than £40million.

The report says his future is in doubt despite the fact the player really wants to stay at his boyhood club.

Also, Potter has really liked what he’s seen from Gallagher behind the scenes when it comes to his attitude.

There’s been some positive signs recently in Gallagher’s individual performances, but it feels like he needs to produce a bit more quality on top of his relentless work rate.

He showed during a spell at Crystal Palace last year he can contribute as a genuine goalscoring midfielder, so he could go a long way to nailing down a spot in the Blues XI if he replicates that.

The Evening Standard reports that Gallagher may get a fourth consecutive start in tomorrow’s Premier League trip to West Ham. Let’s hope he can put in a top performance to help silence exit speculation.
