Chelsea could reportedly make a late move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic this month if they make enough player sales first.
According to journalist Simon Phillips, Chelsea could yet explore a move for the 22-year-old star during the January transfer window.
It is understood that any transfer pursuit from the Blues would hinge on selling one or two players, though.
Also, any deal for the Serbian centre-forward is currently rated as “unlikely”, with a summer transfer more realistic.
Phillips told GiveMeSport: “Chelsea are still pondering number 9s, and I understand that if they manage to sell one or two attackers themselves this window, then they might explore a potential late move for Dusan Vlahovic. But this seems very unlikely as of now and would be one for the summer.”

Described as “extraordinary” by Alessio Tacchinardi, Vlahovic is a proper No.9.
The physical forward has 16 goals in 32 games since a £67million transfer to Juventus from Fiorentina. He was fantastic for his previous club with 49 goals in 109 appearances, too.
According to iLbiancoNero back in October, Chelsea’s ownership singled out Vlahovic as a potential transfer target for the Blues.
He definitely fits the profile of what Graham Potter’s side needs at the top end of the pitch, but how much would it cost to get him out of a contract that expires in 2026?

Chelsea’s striker curse is one that’s been a real issue in recent years, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang the latest to fall into the trap this season in west London.
If the Blues sign a new centre-forward for next season, Vlahovic has to be a top target for the club.
