Chelsea have reportedly stepped up their interest in signing Everton’s Amadou Onana.
According to The Times, the Blue are ramping up interest in the 21-year-old Everton player this month.
It is explained that Graham Potter’s side are searching the market for possible midfield signings, which has led them to a Belgium international impressing at Goodison Park.
The report says that Chelsea sense an opportunity to sign Onana because Everton need to raise cash due to Financial Fair Play issues.
Incidentally, Goal claimed this week that Onana skipped Toffees training amid links to Stamford Bridge.

Amadou Onana interest
With less than a week to go in the January transfer market, Chelsea are making moves to get Onana.
Onana, who earns £100,000-a-week, only completed a move to Everton last summer in a £33million deal.
The defensive midfielder is still a little raw around the edges when it comes to his quality on the ball, something you can understand from a youngster during his debut season in the Premier League.
However, the Belgian enforcer has so many great physical attributes and is showing some life in a struggling Everton line-up.

Described as “fantastic” by Leon Osman, Onana is definitely an individual you can picture playing for one of the big clubs in his career.
However, is the youngster ready at this stage to make an impact in Chelsea’s midfield?
