Chelsea transfer news: Blues make £133m striker their main attacking target

Chelsea are reportedly setting their sights on Napoli’s Victor Osimhen as their main attacking target for the summer.

According to 90min, the Blues consider the 24-year-old striker to be their primary target to bring more firepower to the XI at Stamford Bridge.

It is understood that Napoli could demand €150million (£133million) for their centre-forward, which is not a figure that has scared off Chelsea.

The report explains that Graham Potter’s side could try reduce the transfer cost by including players in a swap deal. For example, Romelu Lukaku is named as an individual that could be offered to Napoli.

In our view, there’s no way back for 29-year-old forward Lukaku in west London, so including him in a swap makes sense.

Victor Osimhen the priority

If Chelsea can pull off a deal for Osimhen, supporters should be over the moon.

The striker curse that exists at the Bridge is something which means marquee signings in attack are always met with scepticism from the fanbase. However, the bad luck has got to run out at some point.

Osimhen has looked unplayable at times this season in Napoli colours, scoring 17 goals in 21 games across all competitions.

The powerful striker has looked phenomenal in Serie A for Napoli, but his sheer pace and power should fit with the Premier League as well.

Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis told SportBILD this week that Osimhen is not for sale right now.

However, Chelsea have more often than not got their way in the transfer market since the new ownership took charge in west London.

Osimhen is rumoured to be the Blues focus ahead of next season, so everyone in Naples that fears losing their star striker should be concerned.
