Chelsea will fight to keep hold of Kai Havertz this summer, according to reports.

Kai Havertz, 23, is a Blues forward that was performing well for his club before the international break.

The German attacker has scored in his last three consecutive Chelsea appearances, so hopefully he continues that streak this Saturday against Aston Villa. Incidentally, Joe Cole called him “outstanding” after his individual performance against Borussia Dortmund.

There is some speculation around his future at Stamford Bridge, though.

GiveMeSport claims that Bayern Munich do have an interest in signing Havertz, albeit their focus this summer could be on a more traditional No.9.

It is understood that the Blues hierarchy think Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel would support a transfer bid for Havertz, with the pair previously working successfully together in West London.

However, the report adds that Chelsea would “play hardball” if the German champions made an approach.

In addition, the 23-year-old’s focus right now is on the Blues.

Chelsea fans are starting to warm to Havertz again due to his recent form, but he’ll have to keep going to truly regain their trust. More heroics in the Champions League this season will definitely help his cause!

It’s obvious Graham Potter is a big fan of the Germany international.

Potter has found a way to get the best from the attacker in recent weeks because he’s a player with all the ability in the world. He just needs someone to help knit everything together for him.

We could definitely picture Havertz thriving if he did return to the Bundesliga at a later date, but there is still another chapter in his Chelsea career to write.
