Todd Boehly would reportedly love Chelsea to go all out and sign Harry Kane from Premier League side Tottenham.
49-year-old Boehly, who’s the Chelsea co-owner and chairman, has been very hands-on during the new ownership’s tenure. He’s stepped down recently as the interim sporting director, though.
According to The Telegraph, Boehly loves the idea of the Blues signing Kane from rivals Spurs.
It is understood that he would ‘roll out the red carpet’ for him.
However, the report says it’s considered “highly unlikely” that Spurs would agree to letting Kane join Chelsea or that the player himself would risk wrecking his legacy in north London.
The Telegraph adds the interesting line that those around Kane feel only Champions League qualification or a trophy this season can tempt Kane into staying where he is in the summer.

Harry Kane future
If Kane moves this summer, it would be a marquee transfer. A switch to a Premier League rival would be even bigger, too.
It’s no surprise to hear Chelsea’s name mentioned when discussing the futures of elite players, something that the Spurs frontman does fit into. In fact, Graeme Souness described him as the only “world-class” player in the England squad earlier this month.
Despite Erling Haaland stealing the headlines this season, Kane has quietly scored 15 goals in just 19 league games this term. It’s why he’s now just 62 goals short of matching Alan Shearer’s record as the Premier League’s all-time top scorer.

Chelsea’s recruitment team need to work out with Graham Potter his ideas for the striker position. There’s a number of talented attackers on the pitch at Stamford Bridge, but many fans are longing for a prolific No.9.
If Kane is unattainable, that doesn’t leave many other elite forwards you could bank on to hit the ground running in the Premier League.
